Sr. Vanitha with Nathiya and Soundaryai
Students sponsored by FORGOTTEN CHILDREN earn top grades on state exam.

Nathiya and Soundaryai, the first in their families to complete their high school education,  not only graduated but also excelled as top students in their class.

Nathiya is an orphan; she stayed at the convent and was raised by the Sisters. She received an award from the state of Tamil Nadu for essay writing. She  would like to become a computer engineer.

Soundaryai, who just lost her father who died of AIDS, received the highest mark for her grade level on the state exams.  Because she lived at the convent, she did not suffer from discrimination because of her father’s illness.
